LEARN A LITTLE MORE ABOUT OUR FLOODGATES!
Our gates are designed to allow or interrupt the transit of liquids in open pipes (dams), equipped with three systems of tightness, soil and sides, managing to avoid the minimum percentage of leaks and being appropriate for use with clean liquids or containing some type of solids from wastewater and drinking water stations.
The correct selection of a certain type of side gate depends on many factors: the maximum pressure head of the fluid, the type of fluid, the number of seals required, the type of seal required, the depth of the installation, the drive system, the operating position, the available space, the width, the length of the stem (distance from the center of the gate to the upper point of actuator to maneuver column).
SOME OF THE BASIC ACCESSORIES FOR THE INSTALLATION OF OUR GATES ARE:
STEM: Made of stainless steel. They allow the operation of the gate acting as a screw.
MANEUVER COLUMN: It guarantees stem guidance and gate operation from the manoeuvring surface.
SUPPORT GUIDE: In installation depths greater than 2 meters it is convenient to use guide supports that control and guide the displacement of the stem.
THE RULES THAT GOVERN US:
AWWA C-513 / C-561 / C-563 / C-560
ANSI, ISO and NSF 61
ESTIMATED SHELF LIFE OF OUR PRODUCTS:
The products manufactured by METACOL have an estimated useful life of 50 years, when all the specifications and recommendations for use, installation and maintenance of the product contained in the company's technical information are met.
WATER QUALITY CONSERVATION
The accessories manufactured by METACOL guarantee the quality of the water, since the coatings used ensure the control of substances of adverse effect on human health, such as: aluminum, antimony, copper, arsenic, barium, cadmium, chromium, lead, mercury, nickel, selenium and silver.
EXTREME CONDITIONS OF USE
Continuous pressures above the recommended pressures can cause the product to not operate properly.
Prolonged exposure to the elements (sun's rays) affect the color of the coating.
