WET BARREL TRAFFIC HYDRANT
In METACOL within our main products we have the commercialization of HYDRANTS; Popularly known as fire hydrants, they are hydraulic devices, connected to a water supply network, intended to supply water in case of fire. Norm: AWWA C-503 / C-502 Features The hydrant consists of two bodies, its seal is located on the lower elbow ensuring that, at the time of a vehicular collision with the breakage of the fuse screws of the flanged union between bodies, the closure of the hydrant is maintained in the buried body in order to control the fluid. The color of the upper body is manufactured according to the requested flow rate.

- Continuous pressures above the recommended pressures can cause the product to not operate properly.
- Prolonged exposure to the elements (sun's rays) affect the color of the coating.
ESTIMATED SERVICE LIFE The products manufactured by METACOL have an estimated useful life of 15 years, when all the specifications and recommendations for use, installation and maintenance of the product contained in the company's technical information are met. RECOMMENDED USE In nominal diameter of 4" (100mm) and 6" (150mm) with two outputs of 21/2" and an outlet of 41/2" with flow rates up to 1,000 gpm. Maintenance
- Operate the hydrant's main valve at least three times a year with an opening and closing cycle.
- In case of leakage by the seal of the stem, the O'Rings on top must be replaced.
- If the hydrant leaks in its seal, the condition of the seat and shutter should be checked, which must not present breakdowns or scratches.
- In case of damage to the seal, the seat and / or the shutter of the hydrant must be replaced.
